About The Position

As a Transporter at HCA Florida Aventura Hospital, you transport patients by wheelchair, stretcher, or bed to and from assigned departments and provide general assistance to areas of the assigned department as assigned. The role reports to the shift supervisor. You also greet and assist customers throughout the hospital, follow Standard Precautions and use personal protective equipment as required, and orient and mentor new staff members.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary, and support areas as requested.
• Assist clinical personnel with transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers.
• Greet and offer assistance to customers throughout the hospital.
• Follow Standard Precautions and use personal protective equipment as required.
• Orient and mentor new staff members.
• Provide general assistance to areas of the assigned department as assigned.
