Transporter - (Full Time, Rotating Shift)
About The Position
Responsible for providing and maintaining a safe environment for themselves, the patient, and their co-workers by following established policies and procedures. Assists the patient/guest with service issues/problems by providing excellent customer service through established guest service techniques. Serves as a resource to patients, family members, and other hospital personnel. Maintains courtesy and a professional demeanor. Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently for the benefit and comfort of the patient. Assignments are documented with all the necessary information as accurately as possible. Documentation is compiled and necessary for future departmental reference, problem/conflict resolution, and necessary for process improvement methods. Communicates patient concerns/needs with clinical staff. Assists in the moving of beds, chairs and hospital equipment along with identifying broken equipment to remove from circulation. Tracks and maintains transport log. Assists in the transportation of specimens, documents and lab deliveries.
Requirements
- CPR certification required.
