About The Position

The Transporter position is in the Transport Department at Resurrection Medical Center, located at 7435 W Talcott Ave, Chicago, IL 60631. The schedule is Evenings from 3pm-10:30pm, subject to change based on department needs, and includes every other weekend and Holiday coverage. The Radiology Transporter is responsible for transporting patients to and from the Radiology Department. The role also involves darkroom duties, ordering supplies, stocking, dressing patients, and front office duties. Clerical duties for the Radiology Department include answering telephones, greeting patients, preparing requisitions for outpatients, filing patient reports, and retrieving patient records for physicians or medical records. The individual should have adequate knowledge of Radiology terminology, good telephone etiquette, and be polite and friendly when greeting patients and visitors. Clerical support is provided using telephone, computer, office equipment, PACS, and by running errands throughout the facility.

Requirements

Must have BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current throughout employment
Starting April 2014, all new hires will require a High School diploma or Equivalent

Responsibilities

Transport patients to and from the Radiology Department
