About The Position
This is a PRN (as needed) position for a Transporter responsible for the timely and safe transport of patients within the hospital. The role also involves transporting lab samples, equipment, paperwork, and supplies, as well as assisting with patient admissions, discharges, meal tray delivery, and pharmacy item delivery. Maintaining accurate records is also a key responsibility.
Requirements
- Ability to safely use and maintain transport equipment like wheelchairs, stretchers, and other medical devices
- Ability to maintain accurate records of patient transport and any related issues
Responsibilities
- Timely transport of patients within the hospital to various locations, including but not limited to rooms, treatment areas, diagnostic labs, and operating rooms
- Safely use and maintain transport equipment like wheelchairs, stretchers, and other medical devices
- Transporting lab samples, equipment, paperwork, and supplies throughout the hospital campus
- Assist with transport during patient admission and discharge
- Assist with patient delivery of meal trays and nutrition items
- Assist with patient delivery of pharmacy items
- Maintain accurate records of patient transport and any related issues
- Performs other duties as assigned
