About The Position
Under the direct supervision of the Director or designee, performs duties involved in transporting patients to and from departments and units throughout the hospital. Interacts with nursing personnel to assure continuity of care during transport and assumes responsibility for patients, equipment, and functions. The position is based at CoxHealth South in Springfield, Missouri, and is scheduled for 40 hours per week, from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- No experience required.
- Must be physically capable of lifting and moving patients.
- Must have good communication skills with patients, visitors, and co-workers.
Responsibilities
- Transport patients to and from departments and units throughout the hospital.
- Interact with nursing personnel to assure continuity of care during the transport process.
- Assume responsibility for patients, equipment, and functions.
