Requirements

  • Must have BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current throughout employment.
  • High School diploma or Equivalent (required for hires starting April 2014).

Nice To Haves

  • Transportation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Transports patients to and from the Radiology Department.
  • Performs darkroom duties, ordering supplies, stocking, dressing patients and front office duties.
  • Performs clerical duties for the Radiology Department such as answering telephones, greeting patients and preparing requisitions for outpatients.
  • Files patient reports, retrieves patient records for physicians or medical records.
  • Demonstrates adequate knowledge of the usual terminology of tests ordered in Radiology.
  • Demonstrates good telephone etiquette and is able to greet patients and other visitors in a polite and friendly manner.
  • Provides clerical support by utilizing telephone, computer, office equipment, PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System) and by running errands throughout the facility.
