We’re currently seeking a TRANSPORTER I to become part of our dedicated hospital team. In this role, you’ll work both independently and collaboratively to safely transport patients, equipment, supplies, and lab specimens throughout the facility. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring smooth patient flow and supporting clinical teams while maintaining the highest standards of safety, communication, and customer service.

Requirements

• Strong customer service background (6 months preferred)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Basic computer skills (Epic systems experience a plus)
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and patient-centered care

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient transport of patients throughout the hospital
• Assistance with patient movement (beds, stretchers, wheelchairs)
• Communication of vital information with care teams
• Proper handling of charts and lab specimens with confidentiality
• Cleaning and disinfecting transport equipment before and after use
• Use of Epic Transportation Dispatching system
• Adherence to safety, infection control, and hospital protocols
• Providing exceptional customer service aligned with Orlando Health values
