Transporter/Driver
About The Position
As a Transporter at Edgewood, you’ll safely transport residents to appointments, events, and community outings. The role provides residents with access to the outside community while ensuring their transportation is safe and lawful. Offers of employment are contingent upon passing a background check and drug screen. The position is part-time and scheduled for the day shift on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Edgewood Village is a 190-bed Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Independent Living community. Edgewood Healthcare has provided care and services for seniors since 1992 and operates more than 60 communities across seven Midwestern states.
Requirements
- Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Pass a background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.
- Passion and drive for helping others.
- Desire to continue learning and improving your skillset.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience as a transporter or driver is desired.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe and lawful transportation to events and appointments.
- Complete vehicle safety checks before transporting residents.
- Report mechanical issues or vehicle damage.
- Follow HIPAA and all other Edgewood policies.
