About The Position

Looking for qualified Transportation Driver/Central Supply (CNA) to join our team! This is a Full Time position at Valley View Care & Rehabilitation. The role involves safely transporting residents to and from appointments, outings, and activities, while providing them with care, comfort, and companionship. It also includes managing Central Supply inventory and ensuring adequate stock levels. This position offers an opportunity to positively impact residents' lives while ensuring their safety and well-being.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Experience as a patient transport van driver.
  • Experience operating a company vehicle.
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
  • CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
  • Ability to lift, walk, and bend as needed to assist residents.
  • A kind and patient demeanor with a commitment to providing exceptional care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Safe & Reliable Transport - Drive residents to medical appointments, social outings, and facility activities using facility vehicles.
  • Assist Residents In & Out of Vehicles - Ensure their comfort, security, and safety during transport.
  • Review Daily Transportation Schedule - Be available and punctual to meet the needs of residents.
  • Engage with Residents - Offer friendly conversation and companionship during their journey.
  • Document Transportation Activities - Record trip details and any care provided during transit in accordance with facility procedures.
  • Report Concerns or Issues - Communicate any transportation or resident-related concerns to the appropriate staff.
  • Maintain Facility Vehicles - Ensure they are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Perform CNA Duties as Needed - Assist with vital signs, personal hygiene, and other essential care services when not driving.
  • Comply with All Regulations - Follow facility policies, local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and track supply usage to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Coordinate with nursing staff to identify supply needs and provide timely replenishment.
  • Verify all incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
  • Organize supply rooms and ensure supplies are properly labeled and stored.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure competitive pricing and efficient delivery of supplies.
  • Maintain records of purchase, invoices, and supply documentation.
  • Follow infection control guidelines to ensure supplies are handled safely and effectively.
  • Assist in maintaining budget control by monitoring supply usage and reducing waste.
  • Manage the ordering, receiving, and stocking of medical and non-medical supplies.
