Transportation Utility Engineer
About The Position
Parsons is hiring a Utility Engineer/Coordinator to support transportation infrastructure projects across our East Central Region, including work in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Georgia. This role involves collaborating with project managers, designers, utility owners, and public agencies to evaluate utility impacts, support utility conflict analysis, coordinate relocations, maintain utility documentation, and help deliver high-quality transportation projects. Depending on your background, you may also contribute to utility manuals, training programs, and research initiatives that support state and national infrastructure programs.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (or related field)
- 3+ years of related work experience
- Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder coordination skills
Nice To Haves
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate may be required (or other related certifications)
- Experience in utility coordination, utility engineering, utility relocation, or related transportation work
- Highway or DOT project experience preferred
- INDOT Certified Utility Coordinator, or ability to obtain certification
- Experience with technical writing for utility procedures, manuals, or training is a plus
- Familiarity with MicroStation and engineering software preferred
