Requirements

One year of experience in highway or bridge surveying, design, construction, or inspection work; or One year of experience in quality control of materials or building or construction industry experience, which includes reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, or schematics; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Possession of a valid PA Class C driver's license or equivalent.
Meet the PA residency requirement.
Be able to perform essential job functions.
Pass a background investigation.

Responsibilities

Inspect construction activities to verify compliance with contract requirements and project plans
Review records of completed work and materials to ensure accuracy and adherence to department standards
Assist with organizing and maintaining project records, documentation systems, and required reporting tools
Check grades, elevations, and work zone setups for proper placement and safety compliance
Make calculations, note field changes, and observe material testing to confirm consistency and quality
