JMT's Construction Management Team is looking for a Transportation Technician II to perform inspections on ongoing transportation projects in the Wilkesboro, North Carolina area. This role will ensure quality, safety, and conformance to plans and specifications during and after construction. Statewide opportunities are available. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification. This position is open in multiple North Carolina locations.
Requirements
- Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening
Responsibilities
- Perform inspection of contractor’s operations on a variety of transportation projects including roadway and bridge construction to verify conformance to plans and specifications
- Perform routine material testing
- Measure and track quantities of pay items
- Gather and maintain record documents including material certifications, testing reports, and inspector’s daily diaries
- Perform other related duties as assigned
