JMT's Construction Management Team is looking for a Transportation Technician II to perform inspections on ongoing transportation projects in North Carolina. The role involves ensuring quality, safety, and conformance to plans and specifications during and after construction. Immigration sponsorship is not available, except for TN visa candidates. This position is open in multiple North Carolina locations.
Requirements
- Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening
- Must successfully complete and pass JMT's drug screening process, thereafter subject to random and for cause drug and alcohol testing.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspection of contractor’s operations on a variety of transportation projects including roadway and bridge construction to verify conformance to plans and specifications
- Perform routine material testing
- Measure and track quantities of pay items
- Gather and maintain record documents including material certifications, testing reports, and inspector’s daily diaries
- Perform other related duties as assigned
