About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Transportation Technical Lead to join our Baltimore, MD office. This role involves providing local technical leadership in a specialty area, often for a district. The individual will stay informed of new developments and requirements, recommending changes to programs and applications. They will interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate assignments, making independent decisions on technical problems and methods. This role requires representing the organization in conferences to resolve important questions and plan/coordinate work, applying advanced or state-of-the-art knowledge to resolve crucial issues. Supervision received is administrative, with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives. The position also includes mentoring and developing junior technical staff, overseeing project delivery for technical excellence, schedule adherence, and compliance, managing stakeholder relationships and client communications, establishing and maintaining technical standards and quality assurance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • BA/BS + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Manages stakeholder relationships and client communications, providing technical guidance and recommendations on complex transportation initiatives.
  • Establishes and maintains technical standards, best practices, and quality assurance protocols to ensure consistency across projects and deliverables.
  • Drives continuous improvement initiatives and evaluates emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance organizational capabilities and competitive advantage.
