This role is available at the Toronto and Cambridge Plants. The Cambridge Plant requires flexible availability for the afternoon shift (Monday – Thursday, 2:00PM-11:00PM). The Toronto Plant operates on a Monday to Friday, day shift. The Transportation Team Supervisor plays a key role in setting the agenda and executing the strategy of the Business Unit, holding responsibility for all site Traffic operations for their assigned team. This role enables teams to achieve Business Unit expectations in People, Quality, Service, and Cost Key Performance Measures. You will collaborate daily with leaders across various shifts and departments, including Quality, Operations, Packaging, Traffic, Maintenance, and Sanitation Supervisors. You will motivate and inspire your team, eliminate barriers, and solve problems. This is an opportunity to learn the business from the ground up and develop leadership skills through continuous improvement training, with the goal of leading a front-line team.

Requirements

  • Graduated with your bachelor’s degree in 2025 or 2026
  • Exceptional Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Experience in Coaching and Monitoring Performance of Others – Take Others With You
  • Able to Instruct and Teach Others
  • Skills in Organizing, Planning and Prioritizing Work
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving Capabilities
  • Knowledge of General Regulatory & Safety Processes and Procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Transportation, Logistics, Warehouse, or Operations
  • 1-3 years’ Supervisory experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide functional leadership, coaching, and technical support
  • Responsible for people and team development, leading and supervising daily transportation operations to ensure on-time delivery and service performance
  • Develop individuals and the team to solve routine and complex operational issues
  • Motivate the team to achieve established performance targets by providing coaching and training
  • Collaborate with warehouse, service, and sales to resolve operational issues and drive improvements
  • Monitor key transportation KPIs, including cost, asset utilization, inbound & outbound loads, compliance metrics, and operational efficiency
  • Support with managing carrier relationships and freight cost control initiatives through effective planning and execution
  • Investigate service outages, transportation incidents, customer escalations, and implement corrective actions as required
  • Lead productivity projects focused on network efficiency and cost improvements
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and operational discipline within the transportation team
