Position Summary Are you a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys developing people while delivering results? As a Transportation Supervisor , you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate movement of product throughout our distribution center. In this role, you'll lead and support a team of associates, drive operational excellence, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver outstanding service to our retail partners and customers. You'll work closely with Operations, Transportation, Receiving, Shipping, and Inventory Management teams to achieve production goals, improve processes, and foster a culture built on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a distribution, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Powered industrial equipment certification, where applicable.
  • Understanding of distribution center operations and workflows.
  • Basic knowledge of business metrics and financial reporting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to align teams around operational objectives and business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily department operations and team performance.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, recognition, and accountability to help associates succeed.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, training, and development efforts to build a strong and engaged workforce.
  • Partner with Receiving, Shipping, Transportation, and Inventory Management teams to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient product flow throughout the distribution center.
  • Monitor staffing levels and assign labor resources to meet operational demands and productivity goals.
  • Help achieve departmental performance objectives while supporting budget goals and key business initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, operating procedures, and safety standards.
  • Communicate expectations clearly and administer corrective actions when necessary.
  • Maintain a safe and productive work environment for all associates.
  • Lead department meetings and communicate important operational updates.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address challenges and minimize disruptions.
  • Build strong working relationships that support overall distribution center performance.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and opportunities to reduce waste.
  • Recommend and implement improvements that enhance productivity, efficiency, and cost savings.
  • Serve as a change champion by supporting lean initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Lead assigned projects and contribute innovative ideas that help move the business forward.
