About The Position

DSV is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee day-to-day domestic customer service and inbound/outbound operations at a station level. This role involves supervising domestic service and operations activities related to cartage, security, freight movement, and employee issues. The supervisor will oversee daily activities of cartage drivers and ground handlers, research and resolve customer problems and complaints, and assist in identifying and improving service and operations issues, including on-time delivery, data entry accuracy, and efficient warehouse operations. The position also involves auditing and researching service performance, maintaining freight security, ensuring a safe working environment, selecting and training staff, managing performance, and ensuring productivity and achievement of organizational objectives. The individual must be capable of performing all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

• Exceptional interpersonal and analytical skills required
• 0-2 years of related supervisory experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise domestic service and operations activities as it relates to cartage, security, freight movement, and employee issues
• Oversee daily activities of cartage drivers and ground handlers
• Research and resolve customer problems and complaints on domestic and cartage issues
• Assist in identifying and improving service and operations related issues in a station, including on-time delivery, accurate and timely data entry, and efficient warehouse operations
• Assist in auditing and researching service performance issues and develop recommendations for improvements
• Maintain the security of freight in accordance with security procedures
• Ensure a safe working environment through consistent practice of safety programs and procedures
• Select and place staff, ensure staff receives training for job activities, and define specific job assignments
• Manage performance to ensure required levels of productivity and achievement of organizational objectives
