This position designs and develops transportation solutions to meet customer needs. He/She analyzes complex customer transportation data (determining optimal mode FTL, LTL, SP), works to prepare carrier bids, rate customer transportation data, and proactively seeks cost savings opportunity (through mode optimization, order consolidation, carrier mix changes, etc.). This position provides pricing to Sales/Customers and Operations and collaborates to define project needs. He/She uses the Transportation Management Systems to identify total costs, prepares financial models, resolutions existing customer business and analysis requests, and provides support to new business implementations. This position collaborates cross-functionally (e.g., Business Development, Operations, etc.) to provide cost-effective Transportation pricing models for securing new and existing business and increasing profitable revenue. He/She interfaces with customers to evaluate their needs and propose solutions. This position develops business proposals, responds to requests for proposals (RFPs), and contributes to and writes technical documents.
