About The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for transporting residents to appointments, activities, and events in a timely and safe manner, adhering to state laws. You will advance the value that the resident comes first, viewing the community as the residents’ home and working to create attributes of home and modeling person-centered care. Responsibilities include providing resident transportation on and off Community property, assisting residents in boarding and exiting vehicles and into appointments or activities, and transferring residents using appropriate safety equipment and procedures. You will also observe and describe resident behavior and status, reporting pertinent changes to the charge nurse and documenting properly. Maintaining vehicle(s) in a clean and safe manner, performing safety inspections prior to transporting residents, and reporting unsafe or defective vehicles/equipment are also key duties.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Kansas.
Age requirement: 21 years old or above.
Current CPR training certification.
Possesses extensive driving experience, preferably with larger passenger vehicles.
Must possess and maintain a superior accident-free record both in the performance of work duties and personal driving.
