The Transportation Safety & Security Analyst, independently provides assistance for the safe, secure, and compliant operation of public transportation systems. Performs routine assignments which are clearly defined and require the application of standard analysis and planning techniques, procedures, and criteria to evaluate risks, develop mitigation strategies, ensure regulatory compliance, and support system safety and security programs for rail, bus, and other transit modes. You will be responsible for the following: Preparing analysis details and outlines, technical specifications, studies and reports, project documents, and provides support of broader security and safety activities. Conduct safety and security risk assessments, hazard analyses, threat and vulnerability assessments, and safety certifications for transit projects and operations. Conduct field inspections, audits, and assessments of stations, maintenance facilities, right-of-way, and operations. Assist with emergency management planning, drills, tabletop exercises, and continuity planning. Assignments may involve some unusual or difficult problems requiring job knowledge and abilities beyond entry level. Interfaces with clients and is able to work in multi-disciplinary teams and follow multiple priorities.
