About The Position

The Transportation Rep Sr is responsible for nominating, allocating, confirming and balancing natural gas flow volumes with suppliers, purchasers, and pipelines. They will monitor gas volumes and evaluate and reduce pipeline imbalances, analyze data, and monitor and reconcile imbalances while serving as the primary liaison for pipelines and storage facilities. Requirements

  • High School Diploma /GED and minimum seven (7) years' experience in marketing or commercial
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, specifically Excel, and PC skills
  • Understanding of accounting principles and procedures for gas accounting
  • Strong problem solving skills and analytical approach

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots customer issues as they arise; Serves as the first point of contact with customers for scheduling related issues
  • Supervises gas volumes and evaluates and reduces pipeline imbalances for shippers and operators
  • Communicates with Pipeline Control on confirmation and imbalance management as needed
  • Tracks and evaluates pipeline maintenance schedules and communicates proactively with customers to ensure they are well advised
  • Manages and maintains relationships with pipeline and scheduling representatives to ensure operational integrity
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Manages natural gas nominations, confirmations, imbalances, allocations and related activities across multiple pipelines storage facilities
  • Responds to customer inquiries regarding tariff interpretation, EBB access, notices, invoices, and operational policies
  • Confirms and balances nominations for storage fields and completes routine regulatory storage reports as needed
  • Monitors for Operational Flow Orders (OFO’s) on other pipelines and ensures imbalances are staying within the required tolerances
  • Knowledge and understanding of scheduling Eastern Interstates pipelines
