About The Position

Nooter/Eriksen Inc., an employee-owned company specializing in HRSG design and construction, is seeking a Transportation Project Specialist (Level 1) to join their Logistics Team in Fenton, MO. This entry-level role is responsible for coordinating the movement, distribution, and storage of materials and finished goods to ensure timely and safe delivery to customer job sites. The position is hybrid and offers the opportunity to impact the efficiency and reliability of power generation systems. Nooter/Eriksen is an employee-owned OEM with profit-based incentive opportunities, and this role is at the forefront of delivering optimized combined cycle plant performance and shaping the future of energy technology.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Business, Logistics, or Supply-Chain Management, or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Highly professional, organized, and trustworthy team player.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Ability to read, write, problem solve, make quick decisions, interpret data and analyze results.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute transportation plans for timely and cost-effective shipment of raw materials and finished goods domestically and internationally.
  • Negotiate favorable shipping/handling terms with suppliers.
  • Oversee carriers and vendors providing various modes of transport, packing, and handling.
  • Communicate performance expectations and metrics to evaluate and monitor supplier performance.
  • Establish relationships for effective transportation strategies.
  • Proactively support internal customers and suppliers in executing project objectives, including identifying, developing, and executing logistics plans for on-time and safe delivery of components.
  • Evaluate transportation providers for inclusion in N/Es supply base and for future work opportunities, including audits of invoices.
  • Issue requisitions for transportation services and coordinate internally for on-time placement of transportation purchase orders.
  • Communicate and oversee documentation and shipping specification requirements with customers and suppliers.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and work to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of department policies, procedures, and supporting systems.
  • Maintain an expanded level of knowledge for Customs Importation/Exportation and Trade Compliance Policy.
