About The Position

A Midwest multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking a Transportation Engineer Project Manager for its Peoria team. The role manages transportation and infrastructure engineering projects for municipal, county, state, and other clients. The successful candidate will lead project work, produce engineering plans and specifications, and contribute to client and business development activities. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 8 years of experience completing IDOT or Local Agency Phase II bid documents.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Understanding of IDOT workflow.
• Ability to travel throughout Illinois service areas using own transportation.
• Ability to attend client and in-office meetings as required.
• Ability to independently handle a variety of ongoing tasks and responsibilities.
• Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer capabilities.
• Experience assisting with business development and client management opportunities for transportation and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage and complete engineering plans and specifications using IDOT standards.
• Manage and complete IDOT or Local Agency Federal Aid Phase I/II projects for a variety of clients.
• Lead roadway, underground utility, drainage, traffic, and infrastructure improvement projects and studies.
• Provide general civil engineering services for municipal, county, and state clients.
• Assist with business development and client management opportunities for transportation and infrastructure projects.
• Assist with project-specific proposals, contract preparation, and teaming arrangements, and participate in project interviews.
