Transportation Project Manager
About The Position
TPD is hiring a Transportation Project Manager to manage large land development projects involving traffic engineering and planning. The role works with multidisciplinary teams on traffic impact studies, intersection and traffic signal design, roadway signing and pavement marking plans, and traffic and signal operations analysis. It also involves working with PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit design criteria and procedures, overseeing project reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, impact studies, permits, and designs, and representing clients at municipal meetings, hearings, and PennDOT staff meetings. The ideal candidate has project management experience with PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit and municipal land development projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple projects and meet multiple deadlines.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of the Pennsylvania Municipal Planning Code.
- Experience providing testimony on behalf of land development applicants in connection with Pennsylvania municipal approvals.
Responsibilities
- Manage large land development projects in all aspects of traffic engineering and planning.

- Obtain and analyze PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit design criteria and procedures.
- Oversee the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, impact studies, permits, and project designs.
- Represent land development applicants at municipal meetings, hearings, and PennDOT staff meetings.
