This position will be involved in all phases of Transportation Projects for various public sector clients, including horizontal and vertical road alignments, drainage systems, storm water management, utility relocations, and preparation of contract documents. The role may also involve work with Dewberry's California market. Requirements

BS degree in Civil Engineering
Colorado Professional Engineer (PE) License or ability to obtain within one year of date of hire.
5+ years of experience in transportation engineering
Experience with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation InRoads
Ability to work in a timely fashion to meet project budgets
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and review staff
Ability to compose technical reports, memorandums, and other written communication
Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects
Strong capabilities in Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite, ProjectWise, PMWeb, and eConstruction Tools
Knowledge of CDOT Design Manuals and Specifications

Demonstrated CDOT experience preferred

Responsibilities

Work on all phases of Transportation Projects for a variety of public sector clients.
Involve horizontal and vertical road alignments, drainage systems, storm water management, utility relocations and preparation of contract documents.
Engage Dewberry’s California market which is the Western Region’s hub for transportation.
Utilize existing market knowledge to grow within a local a production team.
Become an internal task leader of the growth initiative.
Planning and design of state and local transportation infrastructure, including but not limited to roadway design, intersections, interchanges, utilities, drainage, stormwater management, and coordination with other disciplines as necessary.
Work required by the successful candidate is diverse and requires familiarity with state and local design standards, Civil 3D and/or AutoCAD, MicroStation/InRoads, and Microsoft Office Suite as well as experience with client and project management processes.
Work across CDOT Regions.
