Transportation Planning Intern
About The Position
Kimley-Horn is looking for Planning students to join our Raleigh, North Carolina (NC), office on the Transportation team! This is not a remote position. Responsibilities include contributing to the pre-construction planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects ranging in size and scope. The intern will solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment. The role involves developing familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards. The intern will also evaluate development proposals to identify compliance with zoning regulations, prepare planning and land use studies, and coordinate with various municipal and state agencies.
Requirements
- In the process of receiving a Planning Degree (Bachelors or Masters) from an accredited program in of the following majors: City and Regional Planning, Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, Or Other Related Major
