About The Position

CDM Smith is the most widely used traffic and revenue consultant in the nation with exceptional respect and recognition in America’s toll industry. As a member of the CDM Smith team in the North, you would contribute to our mission by performing Traffic Revenue and Demand Modeling for toll agencies throughout the North Region, including potentially being the Project Technical Leader for Traffic Revenue and Demand Modeling Projects. Performing traffic and revenue studies for planned and existing facilities by applying socioeconomic and travel demand analysis, conducting surveys, and using other methods. T&R and Demand Modelling studies are executed at different levels of detail ranging from sketch to investment grade levels. This role also involves executing advanced data analysis by analyzing large data sets in support of Traffic and Revenue studies and Demand Management studies, as well as in support of highway planning projects more broadly. You will be responsible for overall task management, and QA/QC procedures. You will also be responsible for coordination and management of the technical content of projects including driving the technical vision of the end product, ensuring the technical accuracy of the work product, ensuring the right technical skill sets are on the project at the correct time, developing and mentoring technical project staff, and coordinating all aspects of the project with our clients. Additionally, you will serve as a mentor for junior staff by providing thorough editing of draft documents and QA/QC of deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban, Community or Regional Planning or related discipline. AICP, PTP, PE, CEP or approved certification in a related field. Or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban, Community or Regional Planning or related discipline.
  • 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or 9 years of experience with Master's degree.
  • Strong critical thinking, technical writing ability, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present in front of a large group.
  • Superior task management skills and team-minded interpersonal skills.

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Transportation, or a related field.
