About The Position

Our extensive range of services include supply chain design and innovation, warehousing, efficient distribution and fulfillment, freight brokerage, transportation management, and specialized e-commerce fulfillment solutions. POSITION SUMMARY The Transportation Operations Manager owns the responsibility for employee safety, customer relations, operational oversight, business metrics, staff development support and P&L. They are involved in business development and contracts, along with team leadership initiatives and improvement projects.

Requirements

• 3 – 5+ years of management/supervisor experience preferred
• Previous experience with staff development, facility layout, multi-shift operations, project management and inventory management preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, operations or equivalent education/work experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools preferred
• Expert knowledge of warehouse management systems preferred
• Prior P&L exposure and transportation experience preferred
• Knowledge in CDL A rules and regulations.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills

• Strong analytical, critical thinking and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Assists in the business development process in RFQ responses, including solution concepts and design.
• Manages, coordinates, and implements cost – effective operational solutions to continuously improve efficiency and enhance service levels and quality.
• Maximizes productivity, quality, and service throughout operations by utilizing best practice techniques in the areas of facilities layout, methods, material handling concepts, technological enhancements, and measurements.
• Collaborate with internal Billing Department for reviewing weekly invoices and submit billing to customer.
• Creates, coordinates, monitors, and measures business plan objectives vs. actual results and reports to Executive Management and/or clients as required.
• Dispatching through KALARIS & TMW Software.
• Monitor drivers HOS through Samsara ELD systems.
• Performs driver scheduling, dispatching and load planning duties for company local, city and spotting drivers.
