In this context we are looking for Transportation Manager to join our team in Dulles, VA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration (OR an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • 3-5 years of experience in transportation management, freight forwarding, or logistics management
  • Proven track record within the transportation environment
  • Project Management Expertise and used to work with external service providers
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex logistics issues to non-logistics stakeholders.
  • Communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Authorized to Work in the U.S. without current or future need for visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • CPL (Certified Logistics Professional) and CTL (Certified in Transportation and Logistics) preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the performance of Transport Service Providers (3PLs/Integrators) within the region. Conduct performance reviews to ensure local adherence to global SLAs, costs, and quality standards, acting as the "boots on the ground" for our global carrier strategy.
  • Oversee the high-level execution of shipments originating from or destined for our EMEA sites. Act as the escalation point and controller, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulations (e.g., EU customs, Brexit requirements).
  • Act as the dedicated Transport Partner for regional Sales, Customer Order Desk, and Warehouse Operations teams in the US locations. Translate their specific local needs into logistics solutions while ensuring alignment with global governance.
  • Serve as the regional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for complex flows, including AOG (Aircraft on Ground) and project cargo, ensuring local operational hurdles are overcome swiftly.
  • Represent the region in global transport projects. Ensure that regional requirements are considered in global network designs and actively share best practices with counterparts in Europe and Asia-Pacific.
