About The Position

Livingston Public Schools is seeking an experienced, organized, and collaborative Transportation Manager to oversee all aspects of the district's transportation program. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective transportation of students to and from school, athletic events, field trips, and other district-sponsored activities. Responsibilities include route planning, staff supervision, fleet oversight, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and serving as the primary liaison with families, school administrators, and transportation personnel.

Requirements

Experience managing a school transportation operation, including routing, budgeting, fleet maintenance, personnel supervision, and compliance with state transportation regulations
Strong organizational, communication, and technology skills
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and occasionally lift or move items weighing up to approximately 25 pounds
Ability to travel between district locations
Ability to inspect school buses and transportation facilities
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and electronically
Sufficient visual acuity to review documents, inspect vehicles, and utilize computer systems

Nice To Haves

Possession of a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
