About The Position

The Transportation Lead is responsible for providing excellent guest service, positively affecting interactions with guests and team members. They possess the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers, leading by example. This role involves providing lead supervision and training to Valet Attendants, ensuring courteous and prompt attention to guest requests or complaints, and greeting arriving and departing guests. The position requires parking and retrieving guest vehicles efficiently and safely, performing drive-and-park assignments, and promptly reporting any incidents to the Transportation Supervisor. The role also includes monitoring and assisting activities in all transportation-related areas, ensuring the auto detailing process is handled with quality and consistency, and performing all Transportation Supervisor duties in their absence. The Transportation Lead enthusiastically supports and promotes superior guest service, ensures service standards are followed, and addresses issues as they arise. They are responsible for ensuring operations align with established policies and procedures, providing guidance and daily supervision to staff, and supporting operational goals. This position requires working outside in various weather conditions and basic computer proficiency. The role demands effective communication with guests and team members, and is very physical, requiring running, climbing stairs, reaching, grasping, and the ability to drive various types of vehicles.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid California State driver's license.
  • Basic proficiency with computers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, as well as all levels of team members.
  • Ability to drive cars of all types.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid California Driver's License.
  • Valid California vehicle operator's license and no traffic citations in past three (3) years with no more than two (2) minor traffic violations in the past three (3) years.
  • Obtain and maintain a gaming license with gaming commission.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Team member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have acceptable driving history.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).
  • Preferred Minimum of one (1) year Valet Attendant experience and increasing level of responsibilities.
  • Preferred ability to safely operate passenger vehicles with standard and automatic transmissions.
  • Must successfully complete TIPS training.

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, fast, and helpful guest service.
  • Provides lead supervision and training to Valet Attendants.
  • Ensures courteous and prompt attention to guest requests or complaints.
  • Greets arriving and departing guests.
  • Parks guest vehicles in specified areas in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Retrieves guest vehicles from specified areas in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Performs drive-and-park assignments per department policies and procedures.
  • Ensures prompt reporting of any incidents to Transportation Supervisor.
  • Monitors and assists activities in all transportation related areas including but not limited to shuttle, VIP, and private groups to ensure customer satisfaction and operational needs are met in a timely and correct manner.
  • Ensures all aspects of the auto detailing process are taken care of in a timely manner with an emphasis on quality and consistency as well as proper training and inventory needs are met.
  • Performs all Transportation Supervisor duties in their absence.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior guest service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
  • Ensures service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.
  • Ensure operations are in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for providing guidance and daily supervision to staff in the department.
  • Supports and administers operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
  • Responsible for staff development and assist with training.
  • Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize team member engagement.
  • Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to team members regarding performance.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
