About The Position

KJ Consulting & Environmental Services, LLC has an immediate need for a Transportation Construction Inspector in Allegheny County.

Requirements

• High school diploma

Nice To Haves

• Five or more years experience in construction inspection of highway or bridges
• NICET transportation - Highway Construction Level I or higher
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Certification
• NECEPT Asphalt Field Technician certification
• NECEPT Concrete Field Testing Technician certification

Responsibilities

• Oversee, inspect and monitor contractual field work
• Testing of soils, concrete, and bituminous paving
• Calculation of quantities for estimate payments
• Review of construction schedules
• Follow PennDOT documentation procedures
• Recommends changes to construction plans to meet field conditions and provide project cost saving
• Maintain project records, prepare work orders, and monthly estimates
