About The Position
STV is hiring a Transportation Engineering Specialist for its Franklin or Chattanooga, Tennessee locations. The role offers the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers and contribute to all stages of project development, from early planning through final design. Projects include construction plans, design specifications, construction cost estimates, and studies and reports for road, bicycle, and rail projects for public agencies. The team also develops erosion control, roadside drainage, work zone traffic control, pavement marking, and signing plans.
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering.
- 0–4 years of experience, including internships.
- Exposure to transportation design or a closely related engineering field.
- Be a team player with curiosity and a desire to learn.
Nice To Haves
- EIT Certification preferred.
- Knowledge of Bentley MicroStation and Bentley Open Roads Designer.
Responsibilities
- Support multidisciplinary projects.
- Assist with the design of alignments and details, grading, drainage, traffic control, and other infrastructure and site design.
- Interact with client teams and engineers in other technical disciplines.
- Perform design using MicroStation and Open Roads Designer.
