Transportation Engineering Specialist
About The Position
STV is seeking a Transportation Engineering Specialist for its Franklin or Chattanooga, Tennessee locations. The specialist will learn from experienced engineers and contribute to projects through all stages of development, from early planning through final design. Work may include construction plans, design specifications, construction cost estimates, and studies and reports for road, bicycle, and rail projects serving public agencies. The team also develops erosion control, roadside drainage, work zone traffic control, pavement marking, and signing plans. The role supports multidisciplinary projects and assists with infrastructure and site design, including alignments and details, grading, drainage, and traffic control. The specialist will interact with client teams and engineers in other technical disciplines and perform design using MicroStation and Open Roads Designer. The position is not eligible for sponsorship.
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering.
- 0–4 years of experience, including internships.
- Exposure to transportation design or a closely related engineering field.
- Team player with curiosity and a desire to learn.
Nice To Haves
- EIT Certification preferred.
- Knowledge of Bentley MicroStation and Bentley Open Roads Designer is a plus; training will be provided.
Responsibilities
