Be a part of an innovative and collaborative team driving a safer transportation system for Arizona. This position performs roadway design activities within the team, including preparing and reviewing studies, reports, plans, and estimates. It reviews and evaluates engineering reports, studies, and plans prepared by the project team, consulting design firms, and others. Additionally, this position may be responsible for assisting in the development of project scoping and planning documentation, including ADA compliance documentation. It assists in preparing and monitoring project schedules and coordinates with other project team members regarding project development and reviewing and approving contractor-initiated documents. This position is accountable for the development of complex and high-quality engineering plans and documents for use in the construction of roadway projects in accordance with the ADOT Five-Year Highway Construction Program. This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.
