Be a part of an innovative and collaborative team driving a safer transportation system for Arizona. This position manages highway ITS construction projects and local ITS. It involves administering highway construction contracts, including determining the acceptability of materials and work performed. The role includes documenting contract supplemental agreements with approval authority up to $200,000. The position represents ADOT to employees, consultants, contractors, other agencies, and the public, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety and environmental standards. It also supervises a field office's staff, managing hiring, scheduling, training, work assignments, performance appraisals, promotions, and disciplinary actions. Additionally, the role manages the field office's budget, vehicle fleet, information technology equipment, other fixed assets, and expendables. This position models ADOT values by leading, coaching, and developing problem solvers to implement and sustain a continuous improvement culture, emphasizing accountability, transparency, and communication in a diverse and safe environment. This position is eligible for a $4,000 hiring incentive.
