About The Position

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking an experienced and motivated Transportation Engineering Project Manager to join our growing Transportation Group to lead projects for our highway and/or bridge department at our headquarters in Wall Township, NJ. This is an exciting opportunity for a transportation professional who wants to make a meaningful impact by leading complex infrastructure projects, building client relationships, and helping shape the continued growth of one of the Northeast’s fastest-growing engineering consulting firms. Recognized year after year as one of NJBIZ’s Best Places to Work in New Jersey, FPA is committed to creating a culture where talented professionals are empowered to grow, collaborate, and lead. In 2026, FPA was ranked #49 on Zweig’s Hot Firm List, recognizing the firm among the 100 fastest-growing AEC firms in the United States and Canada. Our growth is driven by our investment in our people, technical excellence, and our commitment to delivering innovative solutions for the communities we serve. The successful candidate will lead transportation, bridge, and highway infrastructure projects throughout New Jersey while developing strong relationships with the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), county engineering departments, municipal agencies, and other public-sector clients. This individual will serve as Project Manager on major transportation infrastructure assignments and provide Design Management leadership for alternative delivery projects. This role offers the opportunity to combine technical leadership, client engagement, and business development while helping expand FPA’s transportation practice across state, county, and municipal markets. Unlike larger organizations where individual contributions can become diluted, FPA provides experienced professionals with the opportunity to influence projects, mentor teams, and directly contribute to the firm’s continued success. FPA’s Bridge Department has a strong reputation for delivering innovative and technically challenging transportation infrastructure projects throughout New Jersey and the Northeast. Our team has successfully completed bridge design, rehabilitation, inspection, and construction support assignments for NJDOT, DRJTBC, NJ Turnpike Authority, Garden State Parkway, PennDOT, counties, municipalities, and other transportation agencies. Project Managers at FPA have the opportunity to lead a diverse portfolio of bridge and transportation projects, including bridge replacements, deck replacements, structural rehabilitations, bridge widenings, load ratings, inspections, staged construction projects, and complex infrastructure improvements involving steel plate girders, rolled steel beams, prestressed concrete structures, culverts, pedestrian bridges, and specialty structures. The Project Manager – Bridge will oversee projects that improve and maintain critical transportation infrastructure throughout the region, managing work from preliminary engineering and design through construction completion. Representative projects include major highway bridge improvements, historic bridge rehabilitations, waterfront structures, and multidisciplinary transportation projects requiring coordination with public agencies, contractors, utilities, and environmental stakeholders. This role provides the opportunity to lead technically complex assignments while collaborating with experienced engineers across FPA’s multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions for clients including NJDOT, transportation authorities, counties, and municipalities.
