About The Position

TYLin is seeking an Intern Transportation Engineering Designer for their New York office for the Summer of 2026. This role is part of the City Solutions Team and will involve working on transportation studies, roadway design, and complete streets design. The internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative environment, expanding knowledge and sharpening skills through meaningful work.

Requirements

  • Working towards a Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Urban Design, or Public Policy Undergraduate Degree or related Graduate Program
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using GIS Mapping software (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online) is preferred
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and InDesign) is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and gather data to support project objectives
  • Analyze data and perform mapping and geospatial analysis
  • Engage with the public and stakeholders to gather input and provide updates
  • Create and develop maps, reports, presentations, and graphics
  • Contribute to problem-solving efforts to address project-related issues
  • Draft and finalize detailed reports summarizing findings and recommendations
