As a co-op, you’ll work alongside our experienced practitioners and with our clients and communities. This hands-on experience will equip you with practical skills, build your network, and provide opportunities that set you up for success. We are looking for a highly motivated Civil/Transportation Engineering Co-op for our Louisville, KY Transportation Engineering group. This is the place where great ideas and rewarding careers can really take off. With a unique multidisciplinary team approach, we're equipped with state-of-the-art survey tools, simulation models, specialized design software, and computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) facilities. The ongoing success of our team allows you to set the pace of your career. This is a paid co-op with full-time hours during the semester. In person work is expected.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Position requires driving a company vehicle at times. A clean driving record free from significant or frequent driving offenses is required.
• Interested candidates should be working toward a degree in Civil Engineering.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using Microstation and OpenRoads preferred
• GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Development of roadway, signing, marking, lighting, and signal plans using Microstation and OpenRoads
• Project reports, documentation, quantity calculations, and general office assignments using Microsoft Office tools
• Occasional field work
