About The Position
We are looking for a Transportation Engineer to join our team in Tewksbury, MA. Experience in performing roadway and/or traffic design, and an ability to develop solutions for a range of transportation problems and needs. Must have the ability to coordinate with project staff, other disciplines, sub-consultants, clients, and reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work. Manage and maintain project documentation, including meeting project schedules, budgets, and scope.
Requirements
- Minimum of B.S. in Civil Engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer required
- 10+ years of demonstrated experience in roadway design and plan preparation on transportation projects
- Experienced in using AutoCAD (and/or Microstation)
- Familiar with the Green Book and other key transportation-related guides and standards
- Excellent writing and speaking skills are essential
Nice To Haves
- Experience in design in accordance with state transportation agencies’ guidelines and procedures is preferred
Responsibilities
- Performing roadway and/or traffic design
- Developing solutions for a range of transportation problems and needs
- Coordinating with project staff, other disciplines, sub-consultants, clients, and reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work
- Managing and maintaining project documentation, including meeting project schedules, budgets, and scope
- Preparing study and design reports for clients
- Interacting with internal project teams, state agencies, municipal review boards and clients
- Assisting the firm in the preparation of proposals
