Requirements

  • Minimum of B.S. in Civil Engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer required
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience in roadway design and plan preparation on transportation projects
  • Experienced in using AutoCAD (and/or Microstation)
  • Familiar with the Green Book and other key transportation-related guides and standards.
  • Excellent writing and speaking skills are essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in design in accordance with state transportation agencies’ guidelines and procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performing roadway and/or traffic design, and an ability to develop solutions for a range of transportation problems and needs.
  • Coordinating with project staff, other disciplines, sub-consultants, clients, and reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
  • Managing and maintaining project documentation, including meeting project schedules, budgets, and scope.
  • Preparing study and design reports for clients.
  • Interacting with internal project teams, state agencies, municipal review boards and clients.
  • Assisting the firm in the preparation of proposals.
