About The Position

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a Transportation Engineering Project Manager to join our growing team in Bridgeport, West Virginia. This is an opportunity to contribute to a diverse mix of transportation infrastructure projects ranging from municipal and DOT and DOH work to private development, while taking on increasing responsibility in project delivery and client engagement. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering (or related) is required
  • 6+ years of relevant transportation design experience
  • Professional Engineer licensure (P.E.) or ability to obtain in West Virginia is required
  • Experience designing and performing quality assurance using OpenRoads, Civil 3D, and/or InRoads is required
  • Experience with transportation design, including geometry, grading, and drainage
  • Familiarity with DOT standards (WVDOH experience preferred)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and plan production for transportation improvement projects, including municipal, public (DOH/DOT) and private development work.
  • Develop transportation geometry, grading, drainage, and construction plans from preliminary through final design
  • Prepare engineering calculations, quantities, cost estimates, and technical reports
  • Support and manage project tasks, schedules, and deliverables to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, survey, geotechnical, and environmental staff
  • Contribute to project scoping, budgeting, and proposal development efforts
  • Assist with client coordination and support ongoing client relationships
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and designers
