Transportation Driver, PRN
About The Position
Bishop Spencer Place is seeking a qualified and career-minded Transportation Driver to join their team. This role involves transporting residents to various locations such as hospitals, doctor's offices, dialysis centers, private homes, and community activities. The driver will ensure the safety and professionalism of each trip, maintain vehicle upkeep, and adhere to the organization's dress code and ethical standards. This is a PRN (as needed) position with flexible scheduling, offering a supportive work environment and opportunities for professional growth within the Saint Luke's Health System.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
- Possession of a Driver's License - Class E - Various.
Responsibilities
- Transport residents in a safe and professional manner.
- Coordinate transportation requests with the dispatcher in a timely and efficient manner.
- Communicate with dispatcher and fellow drivers to receive relevant data and instructions.
- Maintain professional behavior and attitudes towards residents, staff, and visitors.
- Perform vehicle inspections prior to daily usage to ensure safety and comfort.
- Assist with transferring and balancing residents.
- Care for BSP vehicles, including cleaning, washing, and fueling.
- Understand directions and use maps accurately.
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to BSP uniform requirements.
- Perform all duties as assigned.
