HIL - Transportation Driver
About The Position
The Transportation Driver hauls product from the manufacturing plant to distribution centers and can also be asked to haul product from distribution center to other distribution centers. The role involves driving a truck over an established route to deliver, unload, and account for products of the dairy industry to customer's places of business and distribution points. The driver must adhere to all Department of Transportation regulations, record transactions, prepare paperwork, and maintain proper logs and other required information. Additionally, the driver will listen to and resolve service complaints.
Requirements
- Must have a Class A commercial driver’s license
- Minimum Age: 21 per Federal D.O.T. regulations
- Must be able to pass a D.O.T. Physical and Drug Screen
- Must have a minimum of two years transportation experience and a good driving record.
- Maintain reliable attendance and consistent work hours.
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
- Minimum age: 18
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical.
- Must be able to read and write English and perform basic math calculations.
- Possess the ability to work without direct supervision.

Responsibilities
- Drive truck over established route to deliver, unload and account for products of the dairy industry to customer's place of business and distribution points.
- Must follow all Department of Transportation regulations.
- Records transactions and prepares paperwork.
- Maintains proper logs and other information as required by the Company and D.O.T.
- Listens to and resolves service complaints.
- Load and unload product at destination and carry merchandise.
- Collect or pick up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise.
- Keep the inside of truck clean.
- Perform routine maintenance on truck.
- Work and drive in a safe, courteous and efficient manner.
