About The Position

The Transportation Driver is responsible for driving a truck over established routes to deliver, unload, and account for dairy industry products to customer businesses and distribution points. This role requires adherence to all Department of Transportation regulations, accurate record-keeping, and effective customer service. The driver will also be involved in loading and unloading products, which may include climbing, crawling, and walking, as well as stacking and moving heavy items. The position involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and maintaining the cleanliness and routine maintenance of the truck.

Requirements

Must have a Class A commercial driver’s license
Minimum Age: 21 per Federal D.O.T. regulations
Must be able to pass a D.O.T. Physical and Drug Screen
Minimum of two years transportation experience
Good driving record

Responsibilities

Drive truck over established route to deliver, unload and account for products of the dairy industry to customer's place of business and distribution points.
Follow all Department of Transportation regulations.
Record transactions and prepare paperwork.
Maintain proper logs and other information as required by the Company and D.O.T.
Listen to and resolve service complaints.
Load and unload product at destination and carry merchandise.
Collect or pick up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise.
Stack and unstack items weighing 50 pounds from a height of approximately seven feet to the ground and back continually.
Drag stacks of milk weighing approximately 240 pounds throughout the shift.
Work in very hot (100°+) and very cool (less than 32°) environments throughout the year.
Work outside most of the time, regardless of the conditions.
Keep the inside of truck clean.
Perform routine maintenance on truck.
Work and drive in a safe, courteous and efficient manner.
