About The Position

The Transportation Driver is responsible for driving a truck over established routes to deliver, unload, and account for dairy industry products to customer locations and distribution points. This role requires adherence to all Department of Transportation regulations, maintaining proper logs, and resolving customer service issues. The driver will also be responsible for loading and unloading products, which may involve climbing, crawling, walking, stacking and unstacking items weighing up to 50 pounds, and dragging stacks of milk weighing approximately 240 pounds. The position involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold, and requires maintaining the cleanliness and performing routine maintenance on the truck.

Requirements

Must have a Class A commercial driver’s license.
Minimum Age: 21 per Federal D.O.T. regulations.
Must be able to pass a D.O.T. Physical and Drug Screen.
Must have a minimum of two years transportation experience.
Must have a good driving record.

Responsibilities

Drive truck over established route to deliver, unload and account for products of the dairy industry to customer's place of business and distribution points.
Follow all Department of Transportation regulations.
Record transactions and prepare paperwork.
Maintain proper logs and other information as required by the Company and D.O.T.
Listen to and resolve service complaints.
Load and unload product at destination and carry merchandise.
Collect or pick up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise.
Stack and unstack items weighing 50 pounds from a height of approximately seven feet to the ground and back continually.
Drag stacks of milk weighing approximately 240 pounds throughout the shift.
Keep the inside of truck clean.
Perform routine maintenance on truck.
Work and drive in a safe, courteous and efficient manner.
