About The Position

ABiLITY is hiring a Transportation Driver to support individuals with developmental disabilities through safe transportation, community activities, and life-enrichment programs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, prefers a predictable weekday schedule, and likes a mix of driving and hands-on support. The schedule is a split shift with a morning route starting as early as 6:45 AM and ending around 9:30 AM, and an afternoon route starting around 1:45 PM and ending by 5:00 PM, averaging 20-30 hours per week. Additional opportunities for evening recreation events and Special Olympics coaching may be available. This is a great fit for someone looking for predictable weekday work, a second part-time job, midday flexibility, or supplemental income.

Requirements

Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented
Age 25+
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation
State minimum auto insurance coverage
Class E (Chauffeur’s) License or willingness to obtain—we help you get it!
Ability to pass pre-employment DOT physical (agency paid)
Willingness to complete paid CPR, First Aid, CPI, and Medication Aide training

Responsibilities

Safely transport individuals to and from programs and community activities using agency vehicles
Support individuals during community outings, recreation, and social activities
Assist with Special Olympics practices and events as needed
Complete simple daily documentation and transportation logs
