About The Position

The Transportation Driver transports residents for group activities and personal appointments under the general direction of the Executive Director(s). The role provides transportation for current American House residents to community appointments within a 10-mile radius and may coordinate transportation for prospective residents. The driver maintains appointment schedules, keeps current marketing materials in the bus, and reports vehicle maintenance or repair needs to the Executive Director or Maintenance Director.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills.
• Compassion for older adults.
• Valid driver's license.
• Class E driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality customer service to residents.
• Transport current American House residents to community appointments within a 10-mile radius.
• Work with Executive Director(s) to coordinate transportation for prospective residents when needed.
• Maintain a schedule of resident appointment times.
• Keep current American House marketing materials in the bus at all times.
• Communicate required building-vehicle maintenance or repairs to the Executive Director or Maintenance Director.
• Maintain a Class E driver's license.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
