About The Position

Glassboro Public Schools is seeking qualified INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY in the capacity of a Transportation Dispatch Driver. This position is responsible for providing transportation services in an organized and professional manner. The role involves calculating and recording weekly mileage, reviewing pre-trip inspections, recording maintenance reports, and performing routine clerical work. The position is a twelve (12) month role with salary in accordance with the negotiated agreement.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of automated office equipment
Excellent secretarial skills
Familiar with area and busing
Valid commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement
Required criminal history review background check
Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status

Responsibilities

Calculate and record weekly totals of all miles traveled and separate elementary routes for monthly billing.
Review and file all weekly pre-trip inspections for all buses.
Record weekly mechanic reports on maintenance for each bus.
Record detailed records of hours and mileage of all other than “regular to and from transportation” for all schools.
Post purchase orders to appropriate accounts along with parts charged for each bus.
Assist Supervisor with routing, scheduling, and general functions of the department.
Perform routine clerical work.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
