The Transportation Delivery Driver safely, efficiently, and courteously transports petroleum products to company operations and commercial accounts to support a high level of customer satisfaction. The role includes inspecting and maintaining the transport vehicle, loading and delivering products in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policy, and using computerized delivery technology. Drivers maintain a clean truck, appropriate tools and safety equipment, a neat appearance, and positive customer relations. They report accidents, spills, overfills, and incorrect deliveries to dispatch or a supervisor. Drivers plan routes and decide whether to make deliveries based on safety and weather conditions, with other decisions made in consultation with dispatch personnel. They frequently interact with customers and colleagues, including dispatchers, service technicians, other drivers, and office personnel. The position is seasonal and is available at several locations in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Approximately 60%–80% of the time is spent driving in all weather conditions; the rest is spent unloading and offloading product. Work may involve temperatures below zero to above 90 degrees, petroleum-product fumes, and moderate truck and pump noise and vibration.
